The Denver Broncos are focused on improving the talent around franchise quarterback Bo Nix this offseason. Instead of making aggressive moves in free agency, Sean Payton opted for cost-effective veterans. Dre Greenlaw, Talanoa Hufanga, and Evan Engram represent shrewd additions.

With a clear plan in free agency executed, the Broncos will now shift attention to the 2025 NFL Draft. They are equipped with seven total selections, including three top-100 picks. We've conducted a seven-round mock draft that builds a more complete team around Nix.

Round 1 (No. 20 overall): Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

The Broncos had a dominant defensive line in 2025, recording a league-high 63 sacks. Keeping that unit productive and well-stocked needs to be a priority. Several players are entering contract years, including Zach Allen and John Franklin-Myers, and nose tackle DJ Jones is 30 years old.

The No. 20 overall prospect in our latest Draft Network 100 update, Kenneth Grant is dominant and athletic. He could play multiple positions in Payton's front. Grant utilizes first-step explosiveness and strength to gain entry into the backfield.

Round 2 (No. 51 overall): Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa

Running back is the biggest need on the Broncos' roster. Javonte Williams departed in free agency, leaving Audric Estime and Jaleel McLaughlin atop the depth chart. Payton won't exit this draft without landing a three-down playmaker. Kaleb Johnson is a decisive runner with upside as a pass-catcher as well. Johnson possesses outstanding size, speed, and strength for the position.

Round 3 (No. 85 overall): Terrance Ferguson, TE, Oregon

Signing Engram in free agency addresses the hole at tight end, at least temporarily. It could take the Broncos out of the Colston Loveland and Tyler Warren sweepstakes, but they should still take advantage of this deep class by drafting a long-term solution. Terrance Ferguson possesses an all-around skill set with an impressive 6-foot-5, 247-pound frame. Ferguson leaped outstanding vertical (39-inch) and broad (10-foot-2) jumps at the NFL Combine after producing nearly 600 receiving yards in the Ducks' explosive offense.

Round 4 (No. 122 overall): Fentrell Cypress II, CB, Florida State

Cornerback depth opposite Pat Surtain II is a need. The jury remains out on Riley Moss and Kris Abrams-DraineFentrell Cypress II possesses fluid feet with terrific instincts. Cypress II is technically sound in man and zone coverage.

Round 6 (No. 191 overall): Nick Nash, WR, San Jose State

The Broncos have some young receivers on the roster in Troy FranklinDevaughn Vele, and Marvin Mims Jr. Receiver isn't an overly pressing need as a result, but they should continue to surround Nix with developmental weapons, especially with Courtland Sutton nearing the end of his line. Nick Nash was super productive in 2024, totaling 104 catches for 1,382 yards and 16 touchdowns. Nash is big and long on the boundary.

Round 6 (No. 197 overall): Ethan Downs, DE, Oklahoma

Oklahoma defensive end Ethan Downs would fit well in Vance Joseph's scheme behind Allen and Franklin-Myers. Downs possesses a red-hot motor. Both speed and power are present, with the Sooners standout recording a consistent 12 sacks over three campaigns.

Round 6 (No. 208 overall): Connor Colby, IOL, Iowa

The Broncos' dominant offensive line remains completely intact from last season. This is about adding versatile interior depth. Connor Colby is quick and agile with 40-plus games of experience.
