NFL Mock Draft 2025: Who Are Top QBs Now?

author image

The NFL trade deadline is behind us and college football is three-quarters of the way through the season. The 2025 NFL Draft is shaping up to be one of the wildest in recent history, as people can't even agree on who the top group of quarterbacks is this far into the season. This means picks 1–32 could be up in the air. Check out my latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft as I take a shot at aligning team needs and player fits.

Please note that the draft order is set using the real-time order at the time of publishing (during Sunday Night Football). Click on each player's name to read their full scouting report.

2025 NFL Mock Draft

1. Jacksonville Jaguars

Mason Graham, IDL, Michigan

How do you fix one of the worst defenses in the NFL? Draft one of the best defensive players, and perhaps the best player overall, in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Jaguars could use help all over this defense, but I'm a firm believer that everything starts in the trenches. The Jaguars have made investments in the defensive line as recently as last year, but I believe that Graham has the ability not only to be a part of a defense but to be the anchor for why a defense operates at a high level. With this pick, the Jaguars should draft Mason Graham and watch him wreak havoc on opposing offensive lines.

2. New York Giants

Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama

Jalen Milroe has been in and out of the first-round conversation, as there seem to be highs and lows from game to game. The key for Milroe is stability, as he possesses as many physical tools as any quarterback in the draft. I believe that Brian Daboll sees this potential and thinks to himself, "I've been here before with Josh Allen, and I can tap into the best parts of Milroe while minimizing the lows." If this combination works, the Giants will have a dynamic signal-caller who can make plays with both his legs and his arm.

3. Tennessee Titans

Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

With this pick, the Titans address the defensive side of the football and select hybrid LB/edge rusher Abdul Carter. Carter is a versatile second-level defender who can fill multiple roles within this defense.

4. Cleveland Browns

Cam Ward, QB, Miami

The combination of Deshaun Watson's poor performance and his injury history should push the front office in the direction of drafting a quarterback in this cycle. Cam Ward has shown that he possesses the arm talent to make every throw in the NFL, as well as a natural ability to escape pressure and take shots downfield. The Browns already have pieces in place to support a young quarterback, such as a strong run game and a decent offensive line. Ward in this offense could lean on the run game and take the proper steps toward becoming a solid NFL quarterback without the pressure of having to carry the entire franchise from day one.

5. Las Vegas Raiders

Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

This seems like a pairing that just needs to happen: Shedeur Sanders under the bright lights of Las Vegas. The Raiders are one of those franchises that embrace scrutiny and couldn't care less about outside opinions—and that’s exactly how Sanders handles his business. The Raiders need a quarterback who isn't distracted by media attention and will get the job done on the field. While the Raiders are a work in progress, Sanders has already dealt with similar challenges and won't be fazed by the bumps and bruises that come along the way.

6. Miami Dolphins

Walter Nolen, IDL, Ole Miss

The Dolphins could take a long look at potentially drafting another quarterback if they don't have full faith in Tua Tagovailoa's health. But so far, they appear comfortable moving forward with him. So, with this pick, the Dolphins address the other side of the football and select IDL Walter Nolen. An athletic interior defensive lineman who can stop the run and play with a physical presence in the trenches is exactly what the Dolphins need.

7. New England Patriots

Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

The Patriots could go a multitude of ways here, and their best option may be to trade down. But if they are confident that they are going to get fair compensation, they should stand pat and draft a player who could help them fill multiple roles in Travis Hunter. In my opinion, Travis Hunter should play wide receiver in the NFL, which would be a huge upgrade to this receiving corps and would help out Drake Maye tremendously. I believe that Hunter can play cornerback sparingly, depending on the game plan and matchup that particular week.

8. New Orleans Saints

Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

We are now a long way from the Saints being 2-0 and conversations about them being the best team in the NFC South. Everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong lately. This past week, the Saints traded away their Pro Bowl cornerback, Marshon Lattimore, to the Commanders, which I view as a waving of the white flag for the season from the front office. The Saints could start to rebuild themselves by simply drafting the best player available, and at this spot, it's Michigan cornerback Will Johnson. Johnson is a lockdown cornerback who has drawn comparisons to Patrick Surtain II and could immediately step in and be a lockdown defender. Quarterback would be a consideration here, but until the Saints officially move on from Derek Carr, you have to believe he will be the starting quarterback next year.

9. New York Jets

Will Campbell, OT, LSU

The Jets were all in this year, putting together a roster full of trades and free-agent signings, and the offensive line position was no different. The Jets drafted Olu Fashanu last year to fill one offensive tackle need, and this year, I believe they go OT again and draft Will Campbell. Campbell is a powerful blocker who will bring a dominant, physical mentality to this offensive line group.

10. Carolina Panthers

Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

It is becoming clear that, year over year, the Panthers have significantly improved their roster—going from having one of the worst rosters in the 2023 season to one of the more competitive rosters in the NFL. It's not perfect, but it's an improvement. The Bryce Young experience should get at least one more year to develop, and in order to make that work, the team needs to stay healthy and add more young, dynamic weapons for their quarterback.

It's clear that Xavier Legette could be a difference-maker, and the Panthers need more players like him. With this pick, the Panthers draft another big target for Young in wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan. McMillan is a wide receiver with surprising speed and agility, thriving in one-on-one, 50/50 ball situations. His skill set should make him an ideal target for Young.

11. Dallas Cowboys

Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

The Cowboys may not have enough draft capital to address all of their positional needs, but they have to start somewhere. Over the past few drafts, the Cowboys have invested resources along the offensive line to set themselves up for the future. So, with this pick, they draft a running back who can take full advantage of this newly rebuilt OL. They add one of the best players in college football, Ashton Jeanty.

12. Indianapolis Colts

Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M

Entering the season, everyone thought the Colts had their quarterback situation locked down for the next decade with Anthony Richardson, but that scenario is not as clear as it once was. So, the Colts could throw a curveball here and draft a quarterback. However, with this selection, they decide to go defense and draft Texas A&M edge rusher Nic Scourton. Scourton is a powerful edge rusher with surprisingly good movement skills. He will make a nice pairing with last year’s first-round pick, Laiatu Latu.

13. Cincinnati Bengals

Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

Since Joe Burrow became the quarterback of the Bengals, the tight end position has been a revolving door. This year, the Bengals take a swing at finding a player who could be their long-term solution at tight end in Michigan’s Colston Loveland. Loveland has high-level athletic traits that make him a mismatch for both linebackers and safeties. As the Bengals figure out which superstar receivers they're going to pay, they draft a high-end tight end to help solidify the offense and clear up the picture.

14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri

The Buccaneers have been hit hard by injuries this year, with a season-ending injury to veteran receiver Chris Godwin and another injury to Mike Evans. Both of these players have been key pieces to the Buccaneers' success over the past decade, but now it's time to start thinking about the transition. With this pick, the Buccaneers select receiver Luther Burden III, a dominant slot receiver who can work in a similar way to Godwin.

15. Seattle Seahawks

Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

The Seahawks' defense is struggling at the moment, giving up 20-plus points to almost every opponent. What could help address this issue is a high-level pass rusher who can be dominant on the edge. The Seahawks have invested in the edge position in the past, but sometimes finding that dominant pass rusher is all about upside. And nobody has more upside than Mykel Williams. With his physical tools, if Williams puts it all together, he has the potential to be one of the best edge rushers in the NFL.

16. Chicago Bears

Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota

The Bears went all in on surrounding Caleb Williams with skill-position players to throw the football to, but the obvious need now is along the offensive line so the young quarterback can feel comfortable in the pocket. The Bears address their need at offensive tackle and draft Minnesota OT Aireontae Ersery. Ersery should be a player who comes in and upgrades the position for the Bears, giving Williams a solid blindside protector.

17. Los Angeles Rams

Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas

The Rams appear to be transitioning well from their Super Bowl roster, which was full of big names, to a younger group. They've had success with several defensive prospects, and the defense is headed in the right direction. However, offensively, the biggest question mark remains the offensive line. If the Rams want to make another Super Bowl run with Matthew Stafford, they need to protect him. That's what they aim to do with this pick by selecting Texas OT Kelvin Banks Jr.

18. San Francisco 49ers

Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

The core of this 49ers team is getting older, and injuries are starting to impact the win-loss record. Last year, the 49ers began their transition to youth when they drafted young receivers Ricky Pearsall and Jacob Cowing. This year, I think they add another versatile offensive piece in TE Tyler Warren. Warren can line up all over the field and be another plug-and-play piece for Kyle Shanahan to rely on moving forward.

19. Denver Broncos

Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

Sean Payton has Bo Nix playing good football, and the Broncos appear to have a franchise quarterback to build off of. But if the Broncos want Nix to continue making strides forward, they have to improve the receiver corps. With this pick, they go with Ohio State WR Emeka Egbuka. Egbuka is a versatile, dynamic player who is excellent after the catch.

20. Atlanta Falcons

James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee

The Falcons need to find a way to stop opposing offenses when their offense isn't operating at a high level. They have been trying to solve the edge rusher position for a few years now. In another attempt to do that, they draft Tennessee edge rusher James Pearce Jr. Pearce Jr. has great length and athleticism, and he can step in right away to be a situational pass rusher for the Falcons.

21. Arizona Cardinals

DeMonte Capehart, IDL, Clemson

The Cardinals are clearly in transition to building a team with a more physical temperament, and that starts with the trenches. With this pick, they draft one of the top interior defensive linemen who plays with physicality and is stout against the run: DeMonte Capehart.

22. Houston Texans

Derrick Harmon, EDGE, Oregon

The Texans are rounding out well, and their young players are playing effectively. However, one position that needs improvement is the interior defensive line. Derrick Harmon is a big-bodied IDL who can provide a pass-rush presence from the interior and should complement players like Will Anderson Jr.

23. Los Angeles Chargers

Kenneth Grant, IDL, Michigan

Jim Harbaugh is rebuilding the Chargers to look like a classic Jim Harbaugh-coached team: running the football and playing good defense. Their ability to play good defense starts with stopping the run. So with this selection, Harbaugh goes with a familiar face and drafts Michigan IDL Kenneth Grant. Grant is a big-bodied NT who can eat up blockers and make it difficult to run the ball in the middle.

24. Green Bay Packers

Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

The Packers are a good team looking to take the next step. Offensively, they appear to have plenty of pieces in place to be a consistent NFC Championship contender. However, there is room for improvement on defense. With this pick, the Packers select CB Benjamin Morrison, a versatile defensive back who can play both outside on the perimeter and in the slot.

25. Washington Commanders

Malaki Starks, SAF, Georgia

The Commanders have been the surprise team of the NFL so far. Although this team is playing well, there are still areas for improvement. One of those positions for the Commanders is the secondary. With this pick, the Commanders draft ball-hawking safety Malaki Starks.

26. Baltimore Ravens

Tyler Booker, IOL, Alabama

The Ravens' run game is clearly the foundation of their success, and every run game starts in the trenches. To maintain a high level of production from this offensive unit, the Ravens select IOL Tyler Booker, a physical road grader whose skill set is ideal for this style of offense. He could be a plug-and-play starter.

27. Philadelphia Eagles

Jalon Walker, LB/EDGE, Georgia

The Eagles spent draft capital on improving the secondary last year and it's paying off with their young talent making strides and improving this defense. The other part of this defense that needs to be elevated is the pass rush. So with this pick, they go with hybrid edge rusher/linebacker Jalon Walker. Walker is an explosive edge rusher who plays with a high motor. Walker should come in immediately and provide a big spark for this defense rushing the quarterback.

28. Pittsburgh Steelers

Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss

The identity of the Steelers has always been to play physical defense and run the football. However, one underrated part of this franchise's history is the offensive playmakers who have contributed to its success. The Steelers have a solid group of offensive skill players but still need more. With this pick, they improve their playmakers by selecting Ole Miss WR Tre Harris.

29. Minnesota Vikings

Donovan Jackson, IOL, Ohio State

The injuries to the Vikings' offensive line have affected the overall production of the offensive unit, which should be all the motivation they need to address this position before inserting their young quarterback, J.J. McCarthy. Donovan Jackson is an athletic IOL who can play numerous positions along the OL, which is a benefit as Minnesota figures out how to reshuffle the deck and improve this OL heading into the 2025 season.

30. Buffalo Bills

Kevin Winston Jr., SAF, Penn State

Over the past few years, the Bills have lost some key players at pivotal positions, one of which is safety. With this pick, the Bills address the safety position. Kevin Winston Jr. is an alignment-versatile safety who approaches the game the way the Bills want to play: fast and physical.

31. Detroit Lions

Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College

The edge rusher position opposite Aidan Hutchinson has been an issue for the Lions for a few years now. The Lions have done a good job in the past of identifying issues and then addressing them through the draft. In the 2025 NFL Draft, they select edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku, a natural pass rusher who could be a strong running mate alongside Hutchinson when he returns healthy.

32. Kansas City Chiefs

Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

Josh Simmons suffered a season-ending injury, which people believe may affect his draft stock. But I believe there is a lot of time between now and the actual draft, which means opportunities for medical checks and updates. When healthy, Simmons was one of the best OTs in the draft class. So, with this selection, the Chiefs address a positional need with a player who they find has great value as the last pick in the first round, but has great upside and could end up being the best OT drafted in this class.
