ANALYST'S REPORTS

Crabbs

Marino

Man Cover Skills –He's got nice reach at the line of scrimmage. He's rangy in off coverage and I like the way he uses his hands to feel receivers initially. He's highly athletic and like his upside to play turn and run coverage down the field.

Zone Cover Skills –He's reactive to breaks as they happen and his length/twitch allows him to really explode and disrupt the catch point. Like him in overhead and flat footed situations to break, he's pretty heady and creeps into his challenges.

Feet/Change of Direction –He's a long strider, so his margin for error in footwork is narrowed as a result. He's got a lot of power in his lower half, helping him to create force and crash the party. Not the smoothest in lateral slides and shuffles on account of stride length.

Ball Skills –High point abilities are top-notch. He'll get up and use his notable wingspan to slam the door shut on vertical shots over his head. Does well to extend and greet the football away from his frame, maximizing his influence area.

Flexibility –His body control is actually quite strong, he'll contort and lengthen himself as he undercuts or high points footballs and has a really large range as a result. He's not the most fluid in transition though and his impact there lies in powerful legs and explosiveness, not grace.

Acceleration –Effective burst and necessary speed to trust him in isolated situations. Has enough recovery burst to work back to the receiver as he tracks ball vertically over his shoulder. Pretty sudden click and close vs. short game in front of his face.

Zone Spacing – His reach and range offer plenty of last minute disruptions on film, he'll crash the party late as he looks to get involved at the catch point. He's taller, so his feet need to be clean if he's going to get home. Necessary skills to shine here in both vertical and short situations.

Competitive Toughness –This dude will beat you up. Love how confident his challenges are. He's got the clamps as a tackler to throw receivers to the ground. He's active in rally and pursuit, he does well to hustle off his initial landmark to help in team D.

Run Support –His upper body strength and extension skills provide him with a nice stack, he'll be difficult for blockers to really set their hands on. He does great work when square to the LOS to take an aggressive angle and come to balance as a perimeter defender.

Tackling –Powerful snatch tackler. Love how violent his wrap up is as he looks to throw guys to the ground. He can come in a little high at times but his overall strength allows him to take ball carriers for a ride anyway. Large tackle radius if he's squared to the ball carrier.

    PROSPECT COMPARISON - Dontae Johnson

    BEST TRAIT – Physicality

    WORST TRAIT – Durability

BEST FILM –  South Carolina (2018)

    WORST FILM – Duke (2018)

    RED FLAGS – Durability

Tim Harris has all of the tools needed to potentially develop into a starting outside cornerback in the pros. The problem? Harris has had severe bouts with health and his long term availability is in something of a question as a result. Harris has attractive traits and it's easy to love hit ball skills, physicality and anticipation. But can he stay healthy? This is a high ceiling, low floor type player when considering durability. Worth the risk in the late rounds, though.
