Pros: Quentin aligns at safety for the Bruin hybrid defense. He will align as the nickel in man coverage vs. 10 and 11 personnel groups. He is a good athlete with good agility, balance and body control. In the run game he's good due to his efficiency. He's not a killer in the run game and is more of a drag down tackler. However he is efficient and rarely misses tackles. In the passing game, Lake is very good due to his value as a versatile asset. He is fluid with loose hips and moves much like a cornerback would. He has versatility in his ability to align on the back end, in the low hole or in the slot. He has excellent instincts and seems to always be in the right position, both in his run fits and when the ball is in the air.

Cons: When you look at his attributes and the player overall, you wonder why he hasn’t made more plays. He's not an overly aggressive tackler but is efficient and will get the ball carrier on the ground. Missed most of 2019 with injuries, sitting out all but four games. Overall this player's ceiling is much higher than his production has been up to this point. A healthy 2020 could put him in the conversation for one of the best safeties in the conference.
