Avieon Terrell is a versatile secondary defender who is a ballhawk, intercepting passes and forcing fumbles.

Draft Grade: Round 1 - Pro Bowl Caliber

Strengths:

Versatility: Throughout his career at Clemson, Terrell has played in multiple different alignments in the secondary. He can play on the outside at the cornerback position and also kick inside to the nickel position effectively.

Instincts/Creating Turnovers: Terrell finished his career with three interceptions and eight forced fumbles. He has shown the ability to put himself in position to make plays on the ball in the air, while also making plays against ball carriers; he utilizes an effective "punch-out" maneuver to force fumbles. Additionally, Terrell shows that he is an effective blitzer, capable of getting to the quarterback and bringing him down.

Tackling: From multiple alignments on the field, Terrell has shown himself to be an effective tackler. He possesses solid overall technique and is willing to put his body on the line to make a stop. NFL coordinators can confidently ask Terrell to be responsible for a gap and expect him to fill it.

Concerns:

Length: Terrell’s testing and measurables were average to below average, specifically regarding his arm length. This lack of length can become an issue when he is matched up against bigger receivers who thrive on 50/50 balls.

Durability/Size: Terrell's frame may present a durability issue at some point in his career. While he is a tough cornerback who is always willing to make a tackle, he is not the largest prospect at the position. This size deficit could lead to injury concerns at the next level.
