The NFL trade deadline is on Tuesday (Nov. 4). Monday morning already welcomed activity, with the Philadelphia Eagles acquiring Miami Dolphins EDGE Jaelan Phillips for a 2026 third-round pick. With additional movement expected to arrive in waves, we've identified five trade scenarios we'd love to see come to fruition.
Bills trade for Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers
The Buffalo Bills defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in a Week 9 thriller. The Bills remain in contention for the No. 1 seed and homefield advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. That'll make general manager Brandon Beane an aggressive buyer at Tuesday's deadline.
Tight end Dalton Kincaid was the Bills' leading receiver in Sunday's win. Quarterback Josh Allen is spreading the football around, but more talent at wideout would upgrade the passing game. Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has requested a trade on multiple occasions this year and would immediately be an asset in Buffalo.
Lions trade for Bengals EDGE Trey Hendrickson
The Cincinnati Bengals are a disaster. Their historically putrid defense was at the forefront of Sunday's 47-42 loss to the Chicago Bears. With the postseason a dwindling dream at 3-6, veteran EDGE Trey Hendrickson should be available for trade.
Hendrickson is a 31-year-old pass rusher on an expiring contract. Trading him would net the Bengals multiple draft picks, some of the premium variety. The Bengals need draft capital to continue retooling their defense this offseason. The Detroit Lions are a natural landing spot. They can afford Hendrickson's expiring salary, and pairing him with Aidan Hutchinson would increase their Super Bowl chances.
Steelers trade for Titans WR Calvin Ridley
There have been conflicting reports on the Tennessee Titans "shopping" wide receiver Calvin Ridley. Local reports indicate the Titans are listening. That makes sense. They're 1-8 and rebuilding around rookie quarterback Cam Ward. Ridley is on a bloated contract that makes him a potential offseason cap casualty.
The Pittsburgh Steelers upset the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, ending a two-game skid. Ridley would be an outstanding fit in Arthur Smith's offense opposite D.K. Metcalf. There's a hole at WR2, and Aaron Rodgers is playing well enough to warrant a deal.
49ers trade for Titans EDGE Arden Key
The San Francisco 49ers were already desperate at EDGE after losing Nick Bosa to a season-ending injury. They went out and acquired Keion White and Clelin Ferrell. They now fear that first-round pass rusher Mykel Williams suffered an ACL injury in Sunday's win over the New York Giants.
Williams' setback should thrust 49ers general manager John Lynch back into the market. The Titans have several pass rushers on expiring contracts available for trade. Arden Key is a natural fit. Key recorded 6.5 sacks for the 49ers in 2021, with the same head coach (Kyle Shanahan) and defensive line coach (Kris Kocurek) still in place.
Chargers trade for Jets RB Breece Hall
The New York Jets are allegedly leaning toward retaining running back Breece Hall. Hall has garnered trade interest because he's on an expiring contract and the Jets are rebuilding and in contention for the No. 1 overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Los Angeles Chargers should test the Jets' reserve. The Chargers have placed three running backs on IR, with Najee Harris, Omarion Hampton, and Hassan Haskins all getting injured. None are expected back anytime soon. Hall should be the Chargers' primary target, but Tony Pollard and Jerome Ford may be more realistic.
