3 Teams That Should Trade For Breece Hall

The New York Jets may be willing to trade superstar running back Breece Hall during the 2025 NFL Draft, according to bombshell reports. Hall is displeased with the current state of his contract. He's scheduled to enter the final campaign of his rookie contract and wants to sign an extension.

New head coach Aaron Glenn is allegedly willing to take a committee approach in the backfield. The 2025 draft is loaded with running backs, and the Jets may believe they can replace Hall rather than pay him an extension worth more than $12 million per campaign. Drafting a back to pair with Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis represents an alternative option.

Hall would garner legitimate interest on the trade market. We've identified three potential landing spots.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders finished 32nd in rushing last season, averaging an ineffective 79.8 yards per contest. Not a single running back on their roster produced 500 ground yards. It was a pathetic showing. New general manager John Spytek made offseason changes, signing Raheem Mostert while parting with several backs on the roster, including Alexander Mattison.

Head coach Pete Carroll is a throwback-style leader who has always believed in fielding a run-heavy offense. Mostert is an aging asset and is incapable of being a workhorse in 2025. The Raiders are equipped with nine total selections in the draft, offering them the flexibility to put together a compelling package for Hall. Hall would immediately become Carroll's three-down back.

Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears may have buyer's remorse on the three-year, $24 million contract they signed D'Andre Swift to last offseason. Swift rushed for under 1,000 yards and averaged a career-low 3.8 yards per carry. A lackluster offensive line deserves plenty of blame, though it's difficult to envision the struggling ball-carrier playing out the entire duration of the contract.

New head coach Ben Johnson will bring different ideas to the backfield. As the offensive coordinator, he oversaw an explosive offense with the Detroit Lions that utilized both David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. Chicago's backfield is not nearly as talented. Johnson isn't culpable for the Swift mistake, and he'd prefer to have a three-down back like Hall at his disposal.

Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos decided against re-signing Javonte Williams this offseason, who rushed for a team-high 513 (meh) yards last season. Sean Payton's backfield is now led by Jaleel McLaughlin and Audric Estime. They are clearly planning on adding another back via the draft. The current surroundings aren't good enough to support a passing game that is still developing with sophomore quarterback Bo Nix.

Having a difference-maker like Hall on the trading block could alter Denver's draft weekend plans. Drafting a back is a solid option, but Hall is a proven asset who turns 24 years old before the 2025 campaign. With nearly $70 million in scheduled 2026 cap space, the Broncos possess enough financial flexibility to sign Hall to a lucrative long-term extension.
