Boston College EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku is among the most athletic and productive pass rushers in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Eagles standout was incredibly productive throughout the 2024 season. Ezeiruaku recorded a career-high 16.5 sacks, second-most among D-I players.
The No. 32 overall prospect in our latest Draft Network 100 update, Ezeiruaku is incredibly athletic. The Williamstown, New Jersey native ran a position-best three-cone (6.94) and shuttle (4.19) at the NFL Combine.
Ezeiruaku features a well-developed pass-rushing repertoire with bend and flexibility. He’ll be a fringe first-round pick in April. We've identified three potential landing spots for Ezeiruaku via the 2025 NFL Draft.
Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions are in the market for an appropriate running mate for Aidan Hutchinson. Pass-rushing depth was a need before Hutchinson suffered a gruesome season-ending injury during the 2024 campaign. It's now a must as the superstar pass rusher recovers from a brutal lower-leg injury. New defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard, who replaces the New York Jets-bound Aaron Glenn.
Veteran defensive end Za'Darius Smith was acquired at the trade deadline as a short-term rental. He's currently an unrestricted free agent. General manager Brad Holmes hasn't signed a starting-caliber rusher. Pass rusher might sit atop Detroit's wish list at No. 28 overall. There are an abundance of EDGEs who could be targeted with that pick. Ezeiruaku should be on Dan Campbell's shortlist.
Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans will almost certainly target a pass rusher at No. 35 overall if they draft Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward at No. 1. The Titans posted the third-fewest sacks (32) in the NFL last season. Making matters worse, they parted with sack-leader Harold Landry, making him a salary cap casualty.
Arden Key and versatile inside-outside defender Dre'Mont Jones are the starting EDGEs on the current depth chart. Depth is borderline non-existent too, with veteran journeymen Lorenzo Carter and sophomore seventh-round pick Jaylen Harrell behind them. Defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson does not have a legitimate No. 1 pass rusher on the roster. Ezeiruaku would immediately see significant snaps in Tennessee. If they're passing on Abdul Carter with the top overall selection, drafting an EDGE at 35 is a must.
New England Patriots
New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel has been busy revamping the defensive line. He reunited with the aforementioned Landry after the Titans released him. The Patriots also signed Milton Williams to an incredibly lucrative four-year contract worth $104 million. Williams is now the third-highest-paid interior defensive lineman in the league.
Despite the activity, additional reinforcements are required, especially at EDGE. The Patriots recorded a league-low 28 sacks last season. That won't appease Vrabel, defensive coordinator Terrell Williams, or defensive line coach Clint McMillan. As things stand, the Patriots are a bit overly reliant on Anfernee Jennings and K'Lavon Chaisson to provide depth at EDGE behind Landry and Keion White. Vrabel's scouting staff will be awfully familiar with Ezeiruaku, who played locally at Boston College. Ezeiruaku should be a target at No. 38 overall.
