ANALYST'S REPORTS

Harris

Marino

Solak

Crabbs

Pros: He demonstrates very good reactive athleticism for the position. He is a run and hit, down hill linebacker that quickly diagnoses run/pass. He does a good job communicating with shifts and motions. He easily navigates through trash and is an excellent chase player when he is not play-side against the run. Has good athleticism and awareness to drop in space and does a very good job of getting underneath inside receivers and carrying a TE up a seam. He plays with very good quickness when rushing the QB, but can get overwhelmed when rushing inside. He has a good motor and shows good emotional endurance as the game progresses. He can play in sub packages due to his coverage ability and projects as an excellent 4 phase, core special teamer in the NFL.

Cons: This player needs to add strength and mass to maximize his natural gifts. He is light at the point of attack. He can easily get overwhelmed inside by stronger, physical interior lineman and sometimes struggles to disengage. He sometimes overruns his run fits and doesn’t maintain gap discipline against misdirection and zone reads. He lacks true positional flexibility and schematic versatility. He would get overwhelmed inside in an odd front scheme, while struggling to set the edge on the outside, although rushing the passer would be his strength. In an even front scheme, he's not an ideal fit on the strong side. His skill set makes him an ideal fit as a 4-3 weak side linebacker where he can utilize his speed, chase ability and tenacity to pursue the football.
