PROS: Likable way of squaring himself to the line of scrimmage in holes against zone coverage. Makes himself available and with the numbers visible in the intermediates. Flashes very good hands when extending to catch the ball away from the body, is not a play who will be content to let the ball into his chest before securing the catch. Has shown a second gear accelerating up the field when uncontested at the line of scrimmage, can run by off coverage with tempered speed on release. Is pretty crafty after the catch, slippery against the first arriving tackler. Shows excellent body control, both on route stems and through breaks, will throttle down and get sudden hip drop to snap off a clean break of his route. Was highly productive in a deep group of receivers, leading the team in yards and touchdowns prior to injury.
CONS: Missed the final few games of the season thanks to a leg injury, so durability and return to 100% health is something to monitor. Deep ball skills are inconsistent, has misread a handful of throws where he wasn’t hit directly in stride and cost himself receptions/yardage. For a sturdy frame, doesn’t offer a lot of results as a blocker playing in the secondary. Effort in stalk blocks is present but feet and hands are not in sync and as a result doesn’t secure blocks effectively.
