ANALYST'S REPORTS

Crabbs

Marino

Route Running –He can roll through his breaks with fluidity, he's not super dynamic and he isn't going to excel when he's constantly met with roadblocks at the LOS but when working from the slot and given a clean release he can create headaches with his suddenness on the break.

Hands –Not one to have drops littered all throughout his film. He won't catch it clean when he has to flash his hands late but in uncontested situations he does a nice job aligning his hands properly and getting himself on the nose of the ball.

Contested Catch Ability –Very limited in this capacity. He doesn't have size, nor the ability to work for real estate. His hands are more limited when flashing late or when trying to play through contact, he'll get pushed off spot too easily and struggle to finish.

Run After Catch Ability –He's shifty with great vision and as a result has lots of success creating yardage. Has some experience at running back as well, so he's no stranger to reading and keying defensive flow with the football to break into space.

Football IQ –I like some of his false breaks, he can sell a pattern and then continue up the field. But generally speaking he was manufactured some looks and others still came against soft coverage. Need to see him work on playing through contact.

Vertical Receiving –Shouldn't be relied upon or asked to provide much of anything in this department. He's lacking in long speed and while he's sold double moves and run wheel and ups to get vertical, he won't stack well because of his lack of dynamic ability.

Change of Direction Skills –He's really nimble and shifty in short spaces. Love how he can juke, slide or cut through space and force false steps vs. off coverage. He's got pretty lethal control to hit the brakes and force full speed pursuit to fly by him.

Speed –Doesn't look to have any kind of prominent long speed, watched him get chased down from behind when he's trying to break up the sideline. Chunk plays are present on film but he's not a true burner and certainly can't bank on speed to mask other issues.

Competitive Toughness –Sturdy build thanks to his diminutive stature, but ultimately he won't bring a lot of power elements to his game. He's a player who will have to make a roster with special teams play but he's thrived as a player asked to do a lot of things.

Blocking Ability –Shouldn't consider him much of an option here. Not going to be able to block as the point man on boundary screens, nor be able to ask him to set the hook from the slot on outside runs. Lacks length and functional strength to finish them off.

Zaccheaus was a surprise omission from the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine, which doesn't bode well for his impression with the league. Zaccheaus does not possess any special athletic tools in the way of height, weight or speed, but he's a bright ball carrier and shows some nifty route running skills to roll through his breaks and make himself available for his passer. Zaccheaus has a modest ceiling as a slot receiver in the pros but he's better off as a gadget player.
