PROS: Big-bodied wide receiver who thrives at the catch point and in jump ball situations with his length and leaping ability. One of those weapons where if you throw it in his direction, there is a chance he comes down with the ball. Uses his size and frame to box out smaller cornerbacks like a power forward going for a rebound. Play strength is evident at the LOS against press coverage. Consistently plucks the ball outside his frame — a natural hands-catcher. Will enter the NFL as an instant threat in the red zone. Tracks the ball in the air as well as possibly any wide receiver in the country.
CONS: Rarely see any separation against man coverage on tape. Limited vertical speed and lateral change of direction makes him a predictable player to defend. Wastes movement in his routes and release package with sloppy, heavy feet. Doesn’t provide many explosive plays after the catch. NFL teams could look at him as a tight end in the pre-draft process, if he can put on a couple extra pounds.
