PROS: Knows how to navigate a pocket. Can get mobile in a hurry, but doesn’t let that take away from the threat he has with his arm. Uses mobility to its maximum to open up space with his legs and his arm. As a former wide receiver, he has game changing speed when he needs to use it. For his size, he has good arm strength with both velocity and distance. Accuracy and ball placement are very solid. Run a quick-hit RPO offense at Houston, which has trained his mind to make decision quickly and knows where he’s going with the ball in the pre-snap.
CONS: He is small. He’s listed at 5-foot-11, but he’s not that big. He’s likely about 5-foot-8 or 5-foot-9, which would put him in an unprecedented category of his own when it comes to playing quarterback in the NFL. With his legs being such a part of his game, he must still become a more accurate passer while on the run.
