PROS: Cheyenne has sufficient overall athleticism for the TE position. He shows good football IQ and versatility, aligning both inline, at “Y”, at “H” and split out on the perimeter. Shows a willingness to block inline, although he could afford to be more effective. He has good play strength and is heavy at the point of attack as a blocker in the run game. In the passing game he demonstrates strong releases off of the line of scrimmage. He also demonstrates some craftiness as a route runner against man coverage. He displays good physical toughness to catch the football when contact is imminent. Does a good job catching the football with his hands and not allowing it into his frame.
CONS: His height, weight, and speed suggests he's an ideal fit at “Y”, however, he is a bit undersized for the prototypical “Y”. He demonstrates average run after the catch ability after catching the football. He demonstrates average effectiveness as a run blocker. Undersized for the “Y” role and not athletic enough to be an “F”. Needs to develop consistent strategy for uncovering against man coverage. May have some concerns with regards to reliability and availability that need to be researched.
