PROS: McFarland makes his money off his speed and elusiveness. He’s a slippery runner to wrap up and when he gets in the open field, he’s shown to have that extra gear to really beat pursuit angles and head up the sidelines. He’s a big play waiting to happen every time he touches the ball – a true home runner hitter in the backfield.
CONS: With only a 139 career carries, McFarland certainly needs more experience in a lot of ways. He can make things happen when he gets to space, but navigating his offensive line to get to that space still needs more familiarity. Needs a lot of work in squaring up with pass protection.
