Atlanta Falcons vs Green Bay Packers Betting Preview

The fourth weekly installment of Monday Night Football is a matchup of two NFC teams heading in different directions. The Atlanta Falcons are 0-3 after two soul-crushing losses, while the Green Packers are riding high at 3-0. The Packers and Aaron Rodgers welcome back star wide receiver Davante Adams back for this matchup against a vulnerable Atlanta secondary.

After an exciting Sunday slate, bettors still itching to wager on the NFL can get their fix again tonight. So what should we expect when Monday Night Football kicks off? What is the best bet? Let’s take a look. All odds are courtesy of our friends over at BetOnline

Spread: ATL: +6.5 (-106) | GB: -6.5 (-114)

Moneyline: ATL: (+240) | GB: (-285)

Total: 56.5 – Over: (-110) | Under: (-110)

The Falcons are an absolute mess right now and I don’t think anything is going to change in the short-term. They’ll have wide receiver Julio Jones back for this contest and Russell Gage is set to play as well, so their offense should be as good as ever. But Atlanta’s offense has never been the problem. The Falcons are allowing a league-worst 36 points per game and rank second-to-last in yards allowed at 463.3 per game. Now they are going up against a red-hot Aaron Rodgers and the NFL’s highest-scoring offense.

Rodgers’ “F you” tour is off to a blazing start, as he and the Green Bay offense is carving up opponents to the tune of nearly 460 yards and 40.7 points per game. While the Packers’ defense will have some trouble slowing down Atlanta, Rodgers should score at will. And in the end, do we really have to debate which team is more clutch?

The Packers are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games and 4-1 ATS in their last five overall. They win and cover here.
