We've all seen the highlights of J.J. Arcega-Whiteside “Moss-ing” defensive backs. Arcega-Whiteside’s box out, high point ability is undoubtedly his best trait. However, too often we see this type of receiver fizzle out in the NFL.
In order for jump ball specialists to become weapons at the next level, they need to be adept in other areas; route running, hands, blocking. I focused on Arcega-Whiteside’s route running to see if his skill set will be translatable to the NFL.
I highlighted 4 reps that stood out to me, that suggested that Arcega-Whiteside’s route running could actually become a weapon in the pro ranks.
