TDN College Football Top-25 Poll: Week 11

Two weeks remain in the regular season followed by Conference Championship Games (except Notre Dame) to sort out who's in and who's out of the College Football Playoffs.

If that decision had to be made today, our staff has it:

  1. Alabama
  2. Clemson
  3. Notre Dame
  4. Michigan

Compared to last week's poll, Georgia slid out of the No. 4 spot and was replaced by Michigan. I guess our staff really valued UM's blowout win over Rutgers compared to the Bulldogs routing Auburn. That sentence should tell you how my ballot looked.

The biggest risers within the poll this week are West Virginia and Utah State who both climbed four spots. The Mountaineers easily handled TCU while Utah State improved its record to 9-1, defeating San Jose State 62-24. The Aggies have ripped off 9 consecutive wins after falling to Michigan State in Week 1.

Kentucky was this week's biggest faller within the poll, dropping 11 spots after losing to Tennessee on Saturday. The Wildcats have now suffered back-to-back losses after starting the season 8-1 and cling to the No. 24 spot in the poll.

This week we welcome Penn State, Iowa State, Cincinnati and Boise State into the top-25 while saying goodbye to Iowa, Auburn, NC State and Fresno State. Cincinnati has a pivotal matchup with UCF on Saturday and their stint in the poll could be short-lived.

As a reminder, our poll is the consensus of all members of the TDN staff’s individual rankings averaged out to build a composite poll. 31 different teams received votes from our staff (listed below).

Our top 25 after Week 11:

Others receiving votes: Fresno State, Northwestern, NC State, Oklahoma State, Stanford and Army
