Washington wide receiver Jeremiah Hunter enters the pre-draft process as a proven big-play threat. Hunter averaged an explosive 14.3 yards per catch in four seasons. He recently put his contested-catch abilities on display at the Tropical Bowl.

Hunter recently spoke exclusively with The Draft Network. Hunter discussed his experience at the Tropical Bowl, which teams are showing interest in his services, his favorite routes to run, and more.

JM: You were a standout performer at this year’s Tropical Bowl. What was the overall experience like?

Jeremiah Hunter: It was a cool experience. I especially enjoyed meeting and chatting with all of the NFL scouts. It was great. It really was a dream come true to participate in a pre-draft event like that. It was amazing. I bonded with a lot of the players because we’re in the same position right now.

JM: What do you think you proved to scouts in attendance?

Jeremiah Hunter: I proved that I’m a football player at the end of the day. I’m a wide receiver who can do it all, who can run all the routes. I make contested catches on film. I thrive in jump-ball situations. I can run a lot of routes and do a little different things for the offense. I’ve shown that on tape, and at the Tropical Bowl.

JM: Who were some of the teams you met with at the Tropical Bowl?

Jeremiah Hunter: I met with quite a few. They wanted to sit down and discuss my size. I had a sit-down meeting with the Titans. I also met with the Patriots, Raiders, 49ers, and the Texans. I met with the Packers, Ravens, and Steelers as well. I had a virtual meeting with the Seahawks.

JM: There’s a lot of interest in you and it’s easy to see why.  You recorded 179 catches in college for 2,546 yards and 14 touchdowns. How would you describe your skill set? Self-scout your traits and abilities for us.

Jeremiah Hunter: If you watch my film, my contested-catch ability is definitely what stands out. I’m a deep-ball threat, a jump-ball receiver. I really run routes, man. I feel like I can do it all on offense. I’m still trying to put great stuff on film. That’s something I’m going to continue showcasing when I get to my next destination.

JM: You averaged an explosive 14.3 yards per catch in four seasons. Would you describe yourself as a big-play vertical threat? You also have outstanding size to play the position, as you said.

Jeremiah Hunter: I would say so, yes. When we needed a big play, I was the go-to target on third down. If we needed an explosive play, I could make something happen and get something done for the offense.

JM: Does Jeremiah Hunter have a favorite route to run?

Jeremiah Hunter: Probably a post or something in-breaking. Sometimes it’s a go ball. I like all of those routes the same. I love the slant as well. Middle of the field, I like working a good release and how quick the ball comes out when we’re targeting the middle of the field. I like every route. It just depends on the down and distance.

JM: We've appreciated your time today. Why should a team use one of their picks on Jeremiah Hunter in the 2025 NFL Draft?

Jeremiah Hunter: I’m a great player at the end of the day. I’m going to help bring energy to our environment. I’m going to gel with everybody in the locker room because I’m a hard worker. I can get the job done.

I’m the ultimate competitor. I want to win at the end of the day. I’m trying to be the best version of myself. That’s my goal. I want to help the team win.
