The 2025 Senior Bowl will provide an opportunity for NFL draft prospects to prove themselves on the largest pre-draft stage. Tennessee defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott plans on taking full advantage. Norman-Lott recently spoke exclusively with the Senior Bowl and Draft Network to discuss his motivation for accepting his invitation to compete in Mobile, Alabama.
Norman-Lott also discussed what he's striving to prove to NFL general managers and scouts in attendance at the Senior Bowl, crafting his pass-rush arsenal, how he’d write his own scouting report, and more. Let's get to know Norman-Lott better ahead of his journey to the Senior Bowl.
JM: Where were you when you found out about your Senior Bowl invite and what was your initial reaction?
Omarr Norman-Lott: I was at the Tennessee football facility. I was very excited when I received my invite. It’s another opportunity to go out there and compete.
JM: What motivated you to accept the Senior Bowl’s offer?
Omarr Norman-Lott: The Senior Bowl is where the best draft prospects go to compete during the pre-draft process. It doesn’t get better than the Senior Bowl. Getting an invite was motivation within itself.
JM: What are you hoping to prove to NFL general managers, coaching staffs, and scouts in attendance in Mobile?
Omarr Norman-Lott: I want to prove that I’m one hell of a player. I’m going to bring a lot of ability and value to an NFL defense.
JM: How would Omarr Norman-Lott write his own scouting report? Describe your skill set for us from a traits and ability perspective.
Omarr Norman-Lott: If I could describe myself in three words, they’d be aggressive, quick-twitched, and strong. I play the game with terrific strength. I can make those directional plays. I play with a lot of effort.
JM: How would you describe your pass-rush arsenal? You had 9.5 sacks in two seasons at Tennessee. What are your go-to moves and counters?
Omarr Norman-Lott: It’s lethal. I have a lethal pass-rush arsenal. I don’t necessarily have a go-to move. I like to feel things out. I take what the offensive line gives me. I don’t line up and say I’m about to do this move. I’ve never been that type of pass rusher.
JM: Do you see yourself as a three-down lineman? Can you stop the run on early downs?
Omarr Norman-Lott: Of course I can. I’m going to be a three-down player.
JM: Would you compare yourself to any interior defensive players in the league? Anyone you enjoy studying and learning from?
Omarr Norman-Lott: I watch a lot of Aaron Donald. I love learning from him as a pass rusher. He was also a force in the run game. Aaron Donald is definitely the player I watch the most tape on.
JM: He’s the greatest of all time. Is Omarr Norman-Lott looking forward to swapping jerseys with anybody at the next level?
Omarr Norman-Lott: There isn’t a single big-name player that strikes my mind.
JM: What’s on the pre-game playlist?
Omarr Norman-Lott: Probably some R&B. I like to listen to slow music before a game.
JM: At the end of the week, what does a successful Senior Bowl look like for Omarr Norman-Lott?
Omarr Norman-Lott: A successful Senior Bowl means I stood out every single day. I made it through without suffering any injuries.
