The 2025 Senior Bowl will provide an opportunity for NFL draft prospects to prove themselves on the largest pre-draft stage. West Virginia offensive lineman Wyatt Milum plans on taking full advantage. Milum recently spoke exclusively with the Senior Bowl and Draft Network to discuss his motivation for accepting his invitation to compete in Mobile, Alabama.

Milum also discussed what he's striving to prove to NFL general managers and scouts in attendance at the Senior Bowl, his positional versatility, how he’d write his own scouting report, and more. Let's get to know Milum better ahead of his journey to the Senior Bowl.

JM: Where were you when you found out about your Senior Bowl invite and what was your initial reaction?

Wyatt Milum: I was at our facility at West Virginia when they told me about it. Finding out about the invite felt like a true blessing. It meant all of the hard work I had put in during the season had been recognized.

Getting a Senior Bowl invite is something a lot of us college players work for. It was truly a blessing. A lot of hard work went into that.

JM: There’s no doubt about that. What motivated you to accept the Senior Bowl’s offer?

Wyatt Milum: The Reese’s Senior Bowl has always been the top all-star game to attend. It didn’t require much motivation to accept the invite in all honesty. I’ll be competing against the best players in the country in my opinion. I’m really looking forward to attending the Senior Bowl.

JM: What are you hoping to prove to NFL general managers, coaching staffs, and scouts in attendance in Mobile?

Wyatt Milum: I want to prove that I can play anywhere on the offensive line. From guard to center and offensive tackle, I want to show the scouts that I can play them all. I also want to show everybody how physical I am, and how smart of a player I am. I’m excited to get after it down there.

JM: We love that. How would you describe your overall skill set as a versatile offensive lineman? Are you a power guy in a phone booth, or more agile in space? Self-scout yourself for me.

Wyatt Milum: I would say I’m a very athletic offensive lineman. I’m really good at being physical and getting after dudes in the run game. I also feel like I’m very effective in pass protection. There are a few things I’m working to clean up as well. At the end of the day, I feel like I’m an athletic lineman with power.

JM: You have some positional versatility. Are you expecting to practice at multiple positions in Mobile?

Wyatt Milum: Yeah, I believe I’ll be playing a ton of tackle and guard. I’m going to try and play a little center as well. I want to show the scouts that I can play center, guard, and tackle.

JM: Do you feel like you have a preference? One position you’re most comfortable at?

Wyatt Milum: Well, I’d say offensive tackle because that’s the only position I’ve consistently played since high school. I played tackle exclusively here at West Virginia. I’ve been working on playing guard throughout this pre-draft process though. I feel like I can play any position, but I’m especially comfortable at tackle. That’s where I’m most experienced.

JM: Teams love that versatility. If you had to compare yourself to a current offensive lineman, who are some blockers you enjoy studying and learning from?

Wyatt Milum: I always enjoy watching Lane Johnson. We watch a lot of his film at West Virginia. Zack Martin does a great job at guard for the Dallas Cowboys. I love watching Penei Sewell as well. Those three blockers immediately come to mind. We always watched their film in college.

JM: Those are three great blockers to watch and learn from. Fun question before we let you go. What’s on Wyatt Milum’s pre-game playlist?

Wyatt Milum: I listen to some Drake and some Pop Smoke. Those are probably the two artists I listen to the most on the pre-game playlist. I’m more of a country music guy, but the pre-game playlist or practice, I switch it over to Drake.

JM: This has been awesome. At the end of the week, what does a successful Senior Bowl look like for Wyatt Milum?

Wyatt Milum: It means I went down there to Mobile and competed every single play, every rep. It means I learned from my mistakes and got better as the week progressed forward. I have to show growth as a player.

I want to improve in every area from the hands-on coaching we’ll be receiving. It’s all about competing and learning. I’m going to try my best to execute all of my assignments and win my reps.
