The 2025 Senior Bowl will provide an opportunity for NFL draft prospects to prove themselves on the largest pre-draft stage. Texas Tech offensive lineman Caleb Rogers plans on taking full advantage. Rogers recently spoke exclusively with the Senior Bowl and Draft Network to discuss his motivation for accepting his invitation to compete in Mobile, Alabama.

Rogers also discussed what he's striving to prove to NFL general managers and scouts in attendance at the Senior Bowl, playing multiple positions, how he’d write his own scouting report, and more. Let's get to know Rogers better ahead of his journey to the Senior Bowl.

JM: Where were you when you found out about your Senior Bowl invite and what was your initial reaction?

Caleb Rogers: It’s funny, I was actually just getting on the bus for our Liberty Bowl game. I was with the team sitting two seats behind our head coach Joey McGuire. My phone is ringing and coach McGuire turns around and says, “Is that Jim Nagy calling your phone?” (laughs).

It was a cool experience because it happened in front of my teammates. I was ecstatic, extremely happy. Everyone was very supportive of me. It was an awesome moment.

JM: That sounds like a special moment. What motivated you to accept the Senior Bowl’s offer?

Caleb Rogers: It was 100% a no-brainer. I want to compete with the best of the best. That’s not just about one [offensive line] position, it’s true of all five positions. I know Nagy and his staff see me as capable of playing all five offensive line positions.

The league sees me as an extremely versatile player. That excites me. It’s a challenge I plan to take on in Mobile [to play all five positions]. I want to overcome that challenge.

JM: Sticking with that, what are you hoping to prove to NFL general managers, coaching staffs, and scouts in attendance in Mobile?

Caleb Rogers: I have a lot to prove at this level. Nobody is talking about me like a first-round pick. I’m not the highest on the draft board. I want to prove that I’m a true pro. That’s something we pride ourselves on at Texas Tech. That’s our approach to the game of football.

On the field, off the field, in the training room, our health and nutrition, football IQ, we take the same approach. I want the general managers, everybody who's watching in Mobile, to see that in me. I’m a pro. My draft positioning doesn’t matter. I want them to see me as somebody that’s going to play for a very long time in the NFL.

JM: We love that. How would you describe your overall skill set as a versatile offensive lineman? Are you a power guy in a phone booth, or an agile blocker in space? Self-scout yourself for me.

Caleb Rogers: I have a lot of upside. I’m definitely an athletic blocker. Athleticism jumps off the screen when scouting me. I have the ability to do a lot of different things. I’m consistent with my technique and football IQ.

I have terrific situational awareness of down and distance, things of that nature. I truly love football. I think it’s obvious when you see the temperament I play with.

JM: You’ve played both left and right tackle in recent years. You talked about Jim Nagy seeing you as a five-position blocker. Does that mean you’ll be practicing at guard and center in Mobile as well?

Caleb Rogers: That’s the plan. I played four games at guard this season. I believe there were two games where I actually played three different positions throughout the course of that game. That was either both guard or tackle spots.

Jim Nagy has told me that he plans to use me at center as well when I’m down there.

JM: Teams love that versatility. If you had to compare yourself to an offensive linemen in today’s league, who are some blockers you study and like emulating?

Caleb Rogers: That’s a tough question. I think when you’re studying another player, you should look for someone you are compared to from a body and build perspective. I look for comps that make sense from an athleticism and strength perspective. That’s what I like to watch on tape.

I love watching all three interior blockers on the Kansas City Chiefs. They’re all built differently and you can draw something from all of them. I also love watching Rashawn Slater because he isn’t the biggest guy in the world, but he does an incredible job out there at tackle.

JM: Those are some great ones. Fun question before we let you go. What’s on Caleb Rogers’ pre-game playlist?

Caleb Rogers: I like to change it up. There’s a lot of Future and Drake on there. There’s some Rod Wave in there as well.

JM: This has been awesome. At the end of the week, what does a successful Senior Bowl look like for Caleb Rogers?

Caleb Rogers: A successful Senior Bowl means I put my name on the map. Not just knowing my name, but realizing that they have to keep an eye on me as somebody they should have probably looked into more [during the season].

They’re going to look out for me from here on out.
