Film Analysis:

Miles Frazier draws attention with his size and power as soon as the tape comes on. Coming in at 6-foot-6 and 238 pounds, he looks the part of an NFL offensive lineman with the length to match. LSU showcased a lot of zone read and inside zone run concepts while Jayden Daniels was quarterbacking the team, but Frazier is a better power run fit with his explosive and powerful downhill mentality.

His first step looks like a spring at times; he unloads and times his step well to attack defenders head-on or in space. He looks to attack the chest of anyone who comes close and strikes with great power in his hands and upper body. That aggressive mindset is helpful on down blocks, drive blocks, and getting to the second level in the run game. Frazier also leads with his hands as a pass protector, timing a drop step with a strike to deliver power into the chest. His grip strength and mirroring show up against less agile rushers as he relocates his hands to stay in control. He adds value as a pass protector with great eyes and awareness to pick up stunts and blitzes.

His timing on run blocks is thrown off due to a shoulder, hand, and foot breakdown before contact. This allows defenders to get into his chest before his powerful hands can get into position. Combine that with his high pad level and defenders can move him around in the run game. Frazier has naturally heavy feet, which show up as a puller in his mirroring technique. His feet take a long time to lift and collect underneath him, which makes him more susceptible to the bull rush.

Overall, Frazier plays with the right mentality and physicality, which is helped in the phone booth at guard. He’s a guard-only prospect with many tools to succeed at the next level in a power-run scheme offense.
