Film Analysis:

Kingsley Eguakun is a fleet-footed center with the reactive athleticism to counter opponents attacking from multiple angles. As a run blocker, Eguakun has experience in both zone/gap schemes but could fit best in a zone-based attack due to fluidity in space. He has heavy hands that are rarely second to contact. Doesn’t tout great length or push-back ability but is quick to latch and drive. More technique and strength are warranted in the lower half. Eguakun is rarely used as a puller at the center spot, but projecting him with snaps at guard leaves zero concerns about his ability to get out in space. Good footwork to slide and shuffle while maintaining balance. Nasty finisher and is currently a more advanced run blocker than a pass protector at this point in his evaluation.

In pass pro, Eguakun’s anchor needs work, but he’s a feisty type of lineman who will use every ounce of weight against his opponents. Athletes with initial burst and a legitimate bull rush can give Eguakun issues, often leading to penalties. He has extremely active feet that pop out of his stance. Always looking for work if unoccupied but is someone whose power won’t knock an engaged defender off his feet. Has to consistently win technically due to a lack of length and strength.

Overall, Eguakun is a scheme-specific player whose quick feet and awareness set the foundation to compete for snaps at the next level. He amassed 1,984 snaps at center for Florida (five seasons) but should earn snaps at guard to diversify his profile as a prospect.

Prospect Projection: Day 3 — Role Specific
