Film Analysis:
Andrew Raym provides a blend of technical refinement and athleticism seen often from Sooners offensive linemen. In the run game, Raym showcases fast, explosive hands to initiate contact on his opponent. Won’t blow defenders off the ball but has no issue escorting bodies away from the alley. As a puller, Raym’s athleticism shines when he can quickly work around the edge and up to the second level. Arrives at the point of attack with a low center of gravity and is rarely worked around in open grass.
In pass pro, Raym plays with a sturdy anchor but concerns remain about his functional strength against more powerful defenders (TCU/Texas). Has a clean kick step and is quick to ID stunts and free runners as well. Touts excellent punch timing and will present a small target area within his chest for opponents due to the depth he can reach when sinking his lower half. Scheme versatile with experience in zone (304 snaps) and gap (287).
Concerns remain about his play against more athletic, physically mature linemen because he can be overpowered and relocated. Wins technically, but teams interested in a man-mover could look elsewhere.
Prospect Projection: Day 2 – Adequate Starter
