PROSPECT SUMMARY - DREW DALMAN
Drew Dalman aligned at center for Stanford's pro-style offense. He is a sufficient level athlete with regard to his balance and overall quickness. He is a bit undersized by ideal measurables, but makes up for it with good technique and hand placement. He is a good helper in his pass set and plays with excellent awareness. He easily recognizes defensive fronts and can anticipate twists and stunts. Although he plays with good leverage, his anchor isn’t NFL ready at this point. Getting stronger would greatly benefit this player
Ideal Role: Developmental center only.
Scheme Fit: Zone-blocking scheme.

Games watched: Northwestern (2019), Cal (2019), Washington (2020)
Best Game Studied: Cal (2019)
Worst Game Studied: Washington (2020)
Competitive Toughness: He demonstrates good competitive toughness. This is evidenced in his ability as a run blocker. He also competes hard when he is physically overmatched.
Balance: He plays with adequate balance. He has been on the ground some. When he is bull-rushed by bigger defenders, his glaring lack of good balance shows.
Anchor: He has a less than ideal anchor. For an undersized player, he needs to get stronger. This would help him anchor better inside.
Lateral Mobility: He demonstrates adequate lateral mobility. He can get out of his stance on zone running plays and also get to backside cut-off in the run game.
Power at P.O.A.: His power at the point of attack is just sufficient. This will be a glaring issue in the NFL. It is exacerbated by the fact that he has less than ideal measurables.
Hand Technique: This is his strongest attribute. What he lacks in athleticism and size, he supplements with good technique. He does a good job keeping his hands within the frame.
Football IQ: He easily recognizes and anticipates stunts and twists. He plays with good awareness overall. He also has a good understanding of defensive fronts
Versatility: He lacks true positional versatility. Because he lacks ideal measurables by NFL standards, he is likely a center only.
Pass Set: His pass set is sufficient. He plays with a good base in his pass set and is fluid in his movements. He demonstrates sufficient level latch strength in his hands
Flexibility: This player plays with less than ideal flexibility. If he could bend better it would help him to have a stronger anchor.
TDN Consensus: To Be Determined
