PROS: Functional strength is a big plus, has notable ability to stand up blockers on the edge. Sturdy tackler when able to align hips and pads and drive down hill on the football. Shows promise as a slot defender in man to man coverage if tasked with defending less dynamic pass catchers, has patience to hold water and not bail prematurely at the line of scrimmage.

CONS: Pursuit angles coming down from the third level are inconsistent and often frustrating. Needs to know his limits in pursuit, will be too ambitious to step forward and hang himself out to dry. Has a bad habit of freezing in isolation tackle attempts and does not move his feet to mirror cuts from the ball carrier. Long speed and range are drawn into question when tasked with playing deep half and single high role. Peripheral vision can be called into question, will miss route stems leaking up the field and will drift out of position as a result and allow open targets without an effective overlap in zone coverage. Hip mobility and change of direction skills are not plus traits.
