PROS: Thick lineman with excellent power throughout his frame. Can immediately threaten the depth of the pocket with good power in hands from the snap when aligned as a 2-tech or inside. Can coil and uncoil hips to generate displacement power and does well to keep feet active. Ability to recognize offensive linemen sets and angles when slow-playing the pass rush particularly impresses. Can immediately string counters onto initial rush plans when QB takes a short set, OT over-sets, or otherwise mitigating factor arises. Keeps hands very active and knows the joints and angles to attack — address the armpits and elbows frequently. Uses mass and hands well against the run, which is predictable, to fill gaps and dictate where flow opens.

CONS: Athletic ability remains a big question mark for pro projection. Seems explosive but is rarely asked to penetrate; profiles best as 1-technique in an even front, but it’s a bit of a guess. Does not have excellent length and will get tied up by quick initial hand usage from smart offensive tackles — must do better working initial few steps to retain advantageous angles. Inability to deconstruct and pedestrian tackle radius limit ability to influence run as a two-gapper, which isn’t a huge problem if he can translate to a one-gapper at the next level.
