NAME: Shareef Miller

SCHOOL: Penn State

CONFERENCE: Big10

POSITION: EDGE Defender

CLASS: RS Junior

JERSEY: No. 48

RECRUITMENT RATING: 3-star

HT: 6-5

WT: 256 lbs

D.O.B.: 3/14/1997

PROS: Shareef Miller flashes at first glimpse. Possesses an attractive first step out of stance, showing ability to gain a lot of ground early on in rushes and pressure tackles with speed. Will have a chance at sustained success at wide angle rushes thanks to athletic skill set. Shows a desirable level of tilt and bend around the corner to diminish angles with speed and defeat pass blockers who are late to throw their hands for a stun.

CONS: Is currently too much of a one-dimensional player, Miller fails to show consistency with his hands or the needed power to anchor along the defensive line. Will get caught up in the wash in high traffic areas and struggles to recover after getting knocked off his base. Does not have a vast pass rush repertoire, banks consistently on speed and agility to defeat linemen in space. Would like to see a dedicated focus on long arming blockers to keep his chest clean before making better reads of pass sets to ID counter opportunities and execute appropriately.
