PROS: Survived the Quenton Nelson pass protection block heard ‘round the world. Plays with excellent controlled aggression. Sure tackler who throttles down and comes to balance, yet plays with active feet. Adjusts angles to the ball as needed. Good reads and fills against the run. Runs the alley with no hesitation. Strong identification of routes breaking in his zone and takes good angles to the football. Closing burst to the ball flashed several times in coverage. Patient in his footwork, reads receivers’ hips and reacts quickly. Sharp mental processor who is rarely caught out of position. Tough, physical and plays with an non-stop motor.

CONS: Doesn’t appear to be anything special as an athlete, though he may check the box in that area. Not a particularly dynamic playmaker for Georgia last year. Both picks last year were more luck than skill. Did not see the type of instincts or ball skills to be preferable in a single-high role. Might have some limitations against shiftier slot receivers in man coverage. Not a big hitter, despite being a reliable one.
