PROS: Has some good linear explosiveness to work into/through first level defenders and approach second level defenders. Understands angles on double teams in the first level and knows how to seal blockers out of holes. Oft-pulled and typically successful identifying target and making contact in first level. Uses length well early in pass protection reps in an attempt to stun rushes, though often shot too early. Has experience at guard and tackle, though should be viewed only as a legitimate guard prospect moving forward.

CONS: Consistently late off the ball on the snap, leading to poor initial angles before the play really begins. Entire approach to contact needs reworking: rarely, if ever, engages lower half in blocks, suffice instead to screen defenders with length and upper body punch. Strikes with hands but does not show significant grip strength or an ability to maintain blocks, often giving up second-effort plays after failing to continuously engage assignments. Pass sets from both guard and tackle generally disappoint in terms of depth acquired and foot quickness, though problems are mitigated at guard, where he tends to be more aggressive in his sets. Takes inexplicably poor angles into the second level and regularly gives up undercut lanes to linebacker assignments. Not a good mover in space whatsoever. Lumberer.
