PROS: Vision and timing as a runner is impressive. Patient enough to let his blocks develop, good enough mental processor to know how and when to hit the hole. Ran behind a myriad of schemes at Mississippi State, with plenty of various reads and tracks.

Often asked to be a key blocker, occasionally even on running plays, and responded with excellent physicality, aggression and awareness. Tough runner who plays with a lot of energy and fights to fall forward. Has improved in the passing game every year. Terrific ball security.

CONS: If you’re looking for special athleticism, elusiveness or power, you’ve got to go elsewhere. Build is pretty average for the position, and the accompanying skill set matches that description as well. Lacks the explosiveness and burst necessary to test a defenses pursuit angles and take advantage of slight creases up front. Not a breakaway speedster either.

One-speed back who can take his time hitting the hole if it isn’t clearly defined. Rarely breaks tackles and is almost always brought down by first contact, often unceremoniously so. Balance through contact is average. Despite his effort, was too easily discarded in pass protection at times. Might need to get stronger, but can’t afford to lose much quickness if he puts on weight.

Not very impactful as a receiver throughout his time at Mississippi State, and doesn’t project to be a big playmaker in that role at the NFL. Inability to make people miss in space is evident throughout his tape. Likely a two-down player at best in the NFL, but may also have no special trait or ability to hang his hat on for even a rotational role. Will be 24 before his rookie season begins.
