PROS: Has terrific ball skills, has found hands on a number of footballs thanks to discipline in zone coverage. Very effective in breaking the hands of receivers at the catch point, playing scrappy and swiping through to ensure receivers are unable to transition the ball into their bodies. Sturdy frame, is slapped together really well and offers some effective tackling challenges in head up situations. Takes good angles on click and close reps to greet receivers as they flip their eyes up the field and look for run after catch. Reps in press coverage offer a look at some stiff hands, will get a good jam inside the five yard window to throw off timing of route releases. Does well in short/flat zones to key eyes in the backfield and break on the ball.

CONS: Can negate good habits playing the run by being passing in challenging both ball carriers and blockers in space, needs to assert himself in order to squeeze down potential running gaps and keep the ball boxed into the backfield. Does not appear to have a good deal of straight line speed or recovery burst, instead will remain a stride off the pace if challenged vertically by receivers down the field. Turn and run reps have not resulted in ideal stickiness, will give up a step on hard breaks and needs to feel receivers more effectively from the hip pocket. Can over-extend base at times when trying to buzz off the line of scrimmage and get depth.
