PROS: Agile and fluid athlete. Moves well in space and doesn’t seem to be lacking heavily in the athleticism department. Range is obvious when he opens up and runs. Flashes of quick processing and a hasty trigger, especially when IDing pulling guards. 2016 tape showed potential that 2017 didn’t, so fair to wonder if he can get back to that. Has enough size and athleticism to be desirable to NFL teams in at least a special teams role.

CONS: Not aggressive or physical enough. Motor ran hot and cold in 2017. Got pounded by Auburn at the second level. Focus seems to wane at times, doesn’t always play to the same level of mental processing and reactionary quickness as his flashes indicate he could. Needs to get much stronger. Looks like a safety and takes on blocks like one too. Once he’s locked up, the rep is over. Doesn’t work off of blocks effectively and needs to learn to be more violent with his hands (can that be learned?). All-around natural instincts are lacking. Looks and moves like a coverage linebacker but has made very little impact in that role through two seasons.
