NAME: Andraez (Greedy) Williams

POSITION: Cornerback

CLASS: RS Sophomore

JERSEY: No. 29

HT: 6’1

WT: 182 lbs

D.O.B.: 12/3/1997

PROS: Greedy Williams’ athleticism, size and length all appear to be top-notch. Mirror-and-match skills to play in man coverage. Does a great job working through/around a receiver to contest the catch point. Has the speed to carry vertical threats. Attempts to look back and plays the ball. Frame and physicality to play press. Quick with his hands and can knock receivers back at line of scrimmage. Fluidity in all directions is excellent, as well as his ability to reach top speed in an instant. Typically in press man, but click-and-close from off coverage is excellent. Legit ball skills down the field, or breaking on routes underneath.

CONS: Can fall asleep at the top of routes and allow separation. Down the field, seemed to struggle to find the ball and stay in phase at all times. In press position, often flips hips too early and enters recovery mode early as a result. Can get turned around off the line of scrimmage due to subpar technique. Must be more patient in press. Frustrating lack of focus on a handful of reps a game, needs to maintain consistent intensity to the whistle. Not overly zealous to defend the run. Not an eager or physical tackler. Misses too many tackles. Would like to see better overall effort in all plays that aren’t throws directly at him. Needs to get stronger, can get nudged off of receivers in route breaks and give up separation. Still learning to mentally process things from zone coverage quickly.
