PROS: Pad level and hand placement in the run game is excellent. Has the size, length and physical demeanor to hold the point of attack. Recognizes blocking schemes and run concepts and goes on the attack. Good motor and pursuit. Flashes inside-out ability as a pass rusher, forcing tackles to respect his 2-way go. Light on his feet and appears to be an athletic mover in space. Looks to get back inside when tackle’s hips are open to the sideline. Glimpses of creativity and thinking on his feet as a rusher. Flexibility appears to be there, although he isn’t quite sure how to utilize it when cornering. Consistently disruptive to get his hands up in passing lanes.

CONS: Needs to wrap up and finish as a tackler. Doesn’t break down and can be caught unprepared as a tackler. As a pass rusher, still needs to learn to drop his pads and reduce his surface area when cornering. Hands are a work in progress, as is his overall polish as a rusher. Counters still come as a last resort rather than a product of quick mental processing. Not as threatening off the ball as you’d hope. First step can be better timed. Does not string moves together fluidly. Still needs to get stronger to handle business 1v1 more cleanly. Can he win with speed-to-power or speed/counter combinations? Haven’t seen it yet on tape.
