NAME: Kingsley Keke
SCHOOL: Texas A&M
POSITION: Interior Defensive Lineman
JERSEY: No. 88
RECRUITMENT RATING: 3-star
WT: 305 lbs
PROS: Quick mental processing to identify zone schemes and stay playside in his gap. Uses his hands well to keep his frame relatively clean, extending long arms and bench-pressing opponents away. Physical approach, constantly works his hands to create space between himself and blockers, often working to the edge of his opponent. Has a rush plan and maneuvers with swims, chops, rips and clubs. Bull rush can be dominant when pad level is right.
CONS: Average athlete at best. Lacks top-end range and won’t make a lot of plays outside of a straw. Struggles to bend and turn tight corners to the pocket. Slow to redirect his feet, lateral agility and flexibility are concerns. Tight in the hips and knees, resulting in a high pad level that exposes a lot of frame for opponents. Not explosive off the snap and won’t threaten with speed upfield. Lacks the quick, sudden hands and movements to decisively win pass rush reps. Slow burn rusher who doesn’t come in clean very often. Loses ground defending against horizontal concepts.
