NAME: Daylon Mack

POSITION: Interior Defensive Lineman

CLASS: Senior

HT: 6’0

WT: 320 lbs

D.O.B.: 2/23/1997

PROS: Big-bodied defensive tackle with built-in leverage. Eats up space. Quick mover for his size, and relatively fluid. Explosive first step to threaten the gap immediately. Carries his burst up the field and has good straight-line speed. Fluid mover who should test well for his size. Powerful bull rush to walk back opponents when he keeps his pads right.

CONS: Gets bodied far too often on tape, engaging chest-to-chest with blockers and struggling to get clean. Doesn’t have ideal length or arm extension to stack and shed. Has carried bad weight in his mid-section. Loses a ton of ground and gets moved around far too easily for his size. On the ground too often. No pass rush plan and can get stuck on blocks. Doesn’t seem to process and respond to blocking schemes well. For having low center of gravity, plays pretty high and will often stall out early. No counter moves when he gets tied up. Needs a complete makeover with how to use his hands. Plays like he isn’t aware he has them at times.
